POSH Workshop on Transforming Work Culture

Gender Sensitisation and Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace.
Creating a safe and respectful workplace culture is crucial for the well-being and productivity of all employees. A recent judgment by the Hon’ble Supreme Court underscored various lapses in the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013 ("POSH Act"), and issued directives for enhanced compliance. These directives emphasize the importance of regularly conducting orientation programs, workshops, seminars, and awareness initiatives to educate and upskill members of Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) and women employees. Our workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to prevent sexual harassment, enhance professional competence in implementing the POSH Act, and promote gender sensitisation. This program aims to foster a respectful and inclusive workplace culture by raising awareness of gender issues, providing a comprehensive understanding of the POSH Act, and tracing its evolution from the Vishakha guidelines to the latest judicial pronouncements. Hari Krishan, an ex-Civil Services officer from the 1995 Batch, is an acclaimed International Life Transformation Coach specializing in mindset and habits. He has transformed countless lives through his expertise. Additionally, he is a highly sought-after training consultant and motivational speaker who inspires Government and Corporate Organizations to achieve unprecedented success. With over 25 years of experience in both the Government and Corporate sectors, he has held several senior positions in the Indian bureaucracy. These include serving as the General Manager/HR at the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC), a Schedule "A" Central Public Sector Enterprise, and as the Principal Chief Personnel Officer at the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala under the Ministry of Railways (equivalent to Joint Secretary to the Government of India).

During his tenure as a civil servant, Hari Krishan identified significant challenges within organizations, such as work-life balance issues, inadequate employee training, and concerns regarding the health and well-being of personnel. These challenges often hindered officers from reaching their full potential and enjoying fulfilling lives. Consequently, after opting for voluntary retirement from the Civil Services, Hari Krishan embarked on a mission to give back to society by addressing these fundamental issues.
